Apple iPhone rumors were shot down, and the final nail on the coffin was the launch of the iPhone 3GS. However, just like the netbook, it seems Apple has some innovative ideas for a smaller iPhone aswell. An Apple patent has made its way to the US via an original filing in Australia, this gives a clear idea of what Apple might be cooking.

According to patent the front of the nano device shall be a full display, just like the current iPhones. The back of the device shall again be a touch based controller that will let you control the device.
This design can possibly allow the user to handle the device as a normal communication device with text entry, an iPod, camera and at the same time allow calls. A dual display mobile can also be the outcome. Highly sophisticated and complex! Wonder what Apple will deliver – whatever it is, its not coming anytime soon.
